A U.S. Army veteran and former firefighter, Jeff is the third generation of his family to perform in the music business and Jeff himself has been performing and recording  professionally since 1975 with  some of the top artists in the business  such as "Corey Stevens", "Doug Stone", "Kathy Mattea", "Neil McCoy", "David Ball", "Keith Urban", "Joe Walsh", and good friend and fellow Flying Burrito Brother "Joel Scott Hill".  Jeff is a classically trained pianist, vocalist, and plays many other  instruments such as  guitar, electric bass, and keyboards. Jeff is member of the "American Federation of Musicians",  a writer member of  ASCAP,  and the composer of the gospel hits  "What A Friend", "Thank You Lord", "I Will",  and  "Give Thanks". Jeff is the composer of the popular country tunes  "The Only Thing", "Golf Game", "The Rain", "Goodbye Patsy Cline", "Our Greatest Love", "Hold It In The Road", "Ode To Grandpa", "High Test Grass-O-Line",  and  "Strung Too Tight", as well as co-writer on "I'm In Love With A Heartache"Jeff has also penned tunes for "Johnny Paycheck" and the gospel group "Harvest". Jeff has co-produced many other artists, and continues to produce, record, and perform live with his band "The Profilers"
